Moving to Philadelphia with her husband Alan and family, some forty two years ago, Louise became involved with many cultural organizations including the Franklin Institute (on whose board she served for twenty years), the Philadelphia Antique Show, the Academy of Music committee, Academy Ball co-chair, the Mann Center, and the National Constitution Center, where she co-chairs the opening night gala celebration. Also she has given much of her time over the years supporting the Shipley School, attended by Alan’s and her two children.

Most recently her efforts have been focused on the Pennsylvania Ballet, beginning in 1983, where she served as co-chair of the Ballet’s 20th Anniversary Gala in 1983. She was elected to the Board in 1986, and served as Vice-President from 1994 to 1999. Louise was elected Chair of the Board in 1999 and held that position for five years, she is now Chair Emeritus.

In 2004, Louise joined the Kimmel Center Board representing the Pennsylvania Ballet. Louise serves as Chair of the Marketing and Public Relations Advisory Committee.

In addition in 2007, Louise and her husband Alan received the Annual Volunteer of the Year Award from the Arts and Business Council of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce
