The Kimmel Center is looking for eager, energetic theatre fanatics to join THE GUILTY ONES, the official street team for Broadway's groundbreaking new musical, SPRING AWAKENING.
What is Spring Awakening?
Broadway’s most talked about new musical and the biggest Tony Award®-winner in years, Spring Awakening, will make its premiere at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia from June 23rd – 28th, 2009!
Based on the infamous 1891 Frank Wedekind play, Spring Awakening features an electrifying score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, direction by Michael Mayer, choreography by award-winning Bill T. Jones and Book by Mr. Sater. Set against the backdrop of a repressive and provincial late 19th century Germany, Spring Awakening tells the timeless story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality as seen through the eyes of three teenagers. Haunting and provocative, Spring Awakening celebrates an unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood.
Who are the Guilty Ones?
The Guilty Ones started as a group of fans in New York who loved SPRING AWAKENING so much, they decided to organize and spread the word on their own. As SPRING AWAKENING has launched its National Tour, Philadelphia will be following in the original Guilty Ones’ footsteps by establishing the Guilty Ones as our official street team of guerilla marketers.
In each city of the Spring Awakening National Tour, Guilty Ones will come together to meet at unique, fun events to promote the show. Here's the best part: the more you participate in DEEDS, the more perks you get! Guilty Ones rack up points to redeem for JUNK like merchandise, autographed merchandise, exclusive offers for on-stage seating, cast meet & greets, tickets, and more!!
What do I have to do to become a Guilty One?
Your involvement with The Guilty Ones can include as little or as much as you want to do. We’ll be operating everything on a “Deeds” system which means the more you help us promote the show, the more awesome “Junk” (gift/prizes) you’ll receive.
The “Deeds” include everything from sending e-cards, inviting friends to the Facebook group, recruiting other Guilty Ones, and blogging to postering specific parts of town, attending Guilty Ones meetings, going to cool events like Spring Awakening concerts/cabaret nights, plus much, much more! Earn points for your “deeds” to acquire Spring Awakening “Junk”!
There are even ways to rack up points as a Guilty One if you are not able to attend many events, such as blogging, sending e-cards, and inviting your friends through Facebook!
Stage Seating:
Philly Guilty Ones have the first chance to buy On Stage seats. PGOs may redeem 2,000 points to purchase their first 5 onstage tickets. Any additional 5 tickets will be 1,000 points each. Become a Philly Guilty One today!
