A Great Organ -- one with depth and range to propel everything from a delicate organ concerto by Handel to the powerful symphonies of Mahler and Saint-Saëns -- has long been the envisioned centerpiece of Verizon Hall. In early October, 2001, the largest of more than 6,000 organ pipes built by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders are delivered and installed. Installation of the organ itself will follow successful completion of a campaign to raise the necessary funds.
