RPAC hosts a free benefit concert on October 11, 2001 to mark the one-month anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack on America. "United We Sing," featuring singers and choirs from around the Philadelphia area, is held at the Academy of Music. Audience members numbering 1,500 are asked to sing along in a mass show of unity with the more than 300 voices on stage. Participating choirs include Singing City, Temple University Concert Choir, Philadelphia Gospel Seminars Choir, High School for Creative and Performing Arts, Mendelssohn Club and Bright Hope Baptist Church Celestial Choir.
