Database/Analyst Internship
The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is seeking an intern to create, populate, maintain, and update a new donor database. Once the database project is complete, other assigned tasks may include general document updates and maintenance, administrative support, and other development-related activities (including membership fulfillment, major gift donations, grants and sponsorships by corporations and foundations, planned giving, prospect research, donor relations, reporting, and special events).
The intern will primarily work with the Manager of Research and Analysis, but will also have the opportunity to interact with other members of the Development team and other departments across the organization.
The objective of this internship is to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting. This is an unpaid internship that will take place Monday through Friday for 20 hours per week (exact hours to be determined; course credit available).
Ideal Qualifications:
- Database experience and skills (college-level coursework OK) – Access, SQL; familiarity with fundraising databases is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; strong writing skills
- Ability to multitask and work well collectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- An interest in working in the performing arts and/or nonprofit environment
