Production Manager, Kimmel Center:

Summary:
The Production Manager oversees production operations for events in all performance venues and ancillary spaces of The Kimmel Center.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise backstage operations
  • Responsible for effective intake of event information
  • Preparation of cost estimates
  • Coordinate space, equipment, and stage labor needs for rental clients and Kimmel Center events
  • Liaison with presenters and resident companies
  • Understand and administer IATSE and Teamster CBA’s
  • Performance and rehearsal coverage
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Refined production, administrative and organizational skills
  • The ability to interact effectively with, and clearly communicate information to, a wide range of persons both within the organization and without
  • The ability to attend to numerous projects concurrently, establish priorities, and respond positively, effectively and quickly to continually shifting priorities and needs.
  • Experience in IATSE houses required
  • Experience with multi-venue operations
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in technical theater or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, occasional climbing, and work in confined spaces.
  • Indoors, in multiple performance spaces.
