Musical Pot – Luck
Musical Pot – Luck is designed to have multiple lessons covering multiple topics to be presented in true “Pot – Luck” fashion; you never know what (lesson/topic you are going to get until you receive it. Like a good pot–luck meal, the ingredients are kept well guarded from those who partake in the meal, however the ingredients are revealed upon eating the meal.
The menu/class items are:
- Synthetic Appetizer
- Gumbo Genious 70’s
- Sgt. Dr. Pepper
- A Lil’ This A Lil’ That
Objective
Students will experience (depending on the menu item chosen) music from the 70’s, sound sculpting, and compositional techniques.
Activity
Playing familiar as well as unfamiliar instruments, rhythmic exercises, singing, movement and musical composition as well as historical and social commentary are included in this Musical Pot – Luck.
