Each year, we offer select student matinee performances. These concerts provide a unique opportunity for students and teachers to experience a performance and participate in a talk-back with artists about their work.
All matinees are approximately one hour long, begin at 11am, and include curriculum materials provided to teachers in advance of the performance. Tickets are $10 per person per performance, including students and chaperones.

Harold & the Purple Crayon

Enchantment Theatre Company's The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon is based on Crockett Johnson's delightful picture book series that follows the zany adventures of an inventive young boy. The 'Harold' books have captivated families for more than fifty years, celebrating the imagination of children and the unique way they see the world. Resourceful and brave, Harold creates the world he wants to explore, using nothing more than a big purple crayon and his sky's-the-limit imagination. This innovative production will take your family on a wild ride as Harold jets to Mars, joins a circus, and meets a princess in an enchanted garden.
This adaptation and performance based on the book series, Harold and the Purple Crayon, is presented with the permission of the Estate of Ruth Krauss. This production has been made possible in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts that believes that a great nation deserves great art. Art Works.
