Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, Bomba Estéreo make psychedelic cumbia. Formed by Simón Mejía and singer Liliana Saumet in 2005, the four musicians blend folk sounds like cumbia, bullerengue, and champeta from the Colombian Caribbean coast with electronica, reggae, and hip-hop—producing an explosive live dance sound.
