Forte Young Professionals Group Hosts After-Party with DJ AfroDJiak at the Kimmel Center, November 20

Follows Ticketed Performances by Cape Verdean Vocalist Sara Tavares and New York Philharmonic

Hosted in Collaboration with the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs

Forte, the Kimmel Center's young professionals group, hosts an after-party with live music provided by DJ AfroDJiak in the Kimmel Center's K Lounge on Friday, November 20, 2009 at approximately 9:30pm. All young professionals are invited to attend this admission-free event, and enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drink specials to the sounds of neo-soul, funk and jazz mixed with R&B, as well as afrobeat and bossa nova.

The party will take place immediately following the ticketed concerts by Cape Verdean vocalist Sara Tavares making her Kimmel Center debut in Perelman Theater at 7:30pm and the New York Philharmonic with Philadelphia's beloved Maestro Riccardo Muti at 8pm in Verizon Hall.

Ticket-holders for Sara Tavares or New York Philharmonic concerts can RSVP to forte@kimmelcenter.org to be added to the guest list, receive a free drink ticket and be automatically entered in a drawing for free tickets to upcoming shows.

Forte events offer arts and culture enthusiasts a chance to mix and mingle with other performing art aficionados, ages 21-40. Signing up for Forte is FREE—the e-club includes invitations to attend free mixers and networking events located within the private spaces of the Kimmel Center, discounted tickets to Kimmel Center Presents and Broadway Series presentations, exclusive meet and greets with Kimmel Center Presents artists, as well as giveaways and raffle drawings.

Previous Forte events included meet and greets with members of the Rennie Harris Puremovement dance company, members of Conga Kings and Tiempo Libre and Wilco's Glenn Kotche, among others.
