Playing Philadelphia's Forrest Theatre Sept. 30 - Dec. 12

Tickets are now on sale for the Philadelphia premiere engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, The story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, playing the Forrest Theatre Sept. 30 through Dec. 12.   The official press opening is Sat. Oct. 2 at 8pm.

 

Tickets for JERSEY BOYS begin at $52.50 and are available by calling 800-447-7400 or online at www.telecharge.com. Tickets will become available at the Forrest Theatre box office (1114 Walnut Street) beginning August 23 at 10am.  Premium Seats are also available for all performances.  Groups of 20 or more call 866-276-2947 or 215-790-5883. The performance schedule is: Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm; Friday & Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm; Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm;  matinees Saturdays at 2:00 pm & Sundays at 1:00 pm, and weekday matinees on Oct. 6 , Nov. 26 and Dec. 8 at 2:00 pm.  An additional evening performance is scheduled for Nov. 22 at 7:30 pm. There will be no performances on Thurs. Nov. 25,  Thanksgiving Day.  Also, no performances are scheduled for Sunday evenings Nov. 28 & Dec. 12.  

 

Directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS won the 2006 Tony® Award for Best Musical, the 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album, and most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and continues to break box office records on Broadway and across North America.  JERSEY BOYS is written by Academy Award® -winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi.  This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.  They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.

 

JERSEY BOYS opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005. The JERSEY BOYS National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. There are six current productions of JERSEY BOYS:  New York, London, Las Vegas, Toronto, Melbourne, Australia, and a US National tour.
