in Conjunction with New Book

Presented in Association with Mills Entertainment

America’s favorite baker, Buddy Valastro, brings The Bakin’ with the Boss Tour to Philly on November 8, 2010 at 7:30pm at the Merriam Theater.  In this lively, interactive event, master baker and star of TLC's Cake Boss shares stories behind his hit TV series and his colorful Italian family, answers audience questions and gives a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the nation. Buddy will also invite audience members to join the fun on stage.

The 17-city tour kicks off on November 3 in New York City at The Town Hall and wraps November 23 in Buddy’s home state at The New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Tickets for Buddy Valastro: The Cake Boss are available for $31.50 to $41.50, and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at kimmelcenter.org, or at the Kimmel Center box office, open daily from 10am to 6pm and later on performance evenings.  (Additional fees may apply.)

On November 2, Free Press (Simon & Schuster) will release Buddy’s first book, Cake Boss: The Stories and Recipes from Mia Famiglia, and while on tour, Buddy will appear at signings in conjunction with each of his shows. The book is an uncommonly touching and inspiring memoir of his family’s fascinating and poignant life story. It also offers a selection of Buddy’s coveted recipes and some of his best tips and techniques that will make every reader the “cake boss” of their own kitchen.

One of the centerpiece shows for the TLC network, the third season of Cake Boss returned on October 11. Viewers continue to celebrate the mouthwatering desserts and not-to-be-missed Valastro family moments occurring in bustling Hoboken, NJ, home of Carlo’s Bakery, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in June.
