Opening the series, on Monday, October 10, 2011, Siegel navigates Beethoven’s genius during A Beethoven Bonanza! From the composer’s lighthearted, humorous Sonata No. 3 in C Major; to his tragic and fiery Sonata Pathétique and transcendent Sonata No. 30 in E Major, the program navigates Beethoven’s myriad moods.
On Monday, January 9, 2012, Siegel focuses on the 19th Century’s quintessential “rock star,” Franz Liszt. From Heart to Art: The Romantic Music of Franz Liszt, the second Keyboard Conversations®, highlights Liszt’s sizzling virtuosity and seductive lyricism.
