Forte Young Professionals Group's Open House Cocktail Party Kicks Off Its 2009-10 Season at the Kimmel Center, October 17

Post-Concert Cocktail Soiree follows Melody Gardot and Matt Haimovitz Concerts

Forte, the Kimmel Center's young professionals group, hosts an open house cocktail party, the first of six mixer events planned throughout the 2009-10 season, in the Kimmel Center's K Lounge on Saturday, October 17, 2009 beginning at approximately 9:30pm. All young professionals are invited to attend this admission-free event with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and candy buffet, a live performance by local musicians, drink specials and access to some of the best views on Broad Street from the Kimmel's balcony terrace.

Forte's first open house cocktail party of the season offers arts and culture enthusiasts a chance to mix and mingle with other performing art aficionados, ages 21-40. Signing up for Forte is FREE—the e-club includes invitations to attend free mixers and networking events located within the private spaces of the Kimmel Center, discounted tickets to Kimmel Center Presents and Broadway Series presentations, exclusive meet and greets with Kimmel Center Presents artists, as well as giveaways and raffle drawings.

Previous Forte events included meet and greets with members of the Rennie Harris Puremovement dance company, members of Conga Kings and Tiempo Libre and Wilco's Glenn Kotche, among others.

The first Forte party follows performances by Philly's own rising star jazz vocalist Melody Gardot in Perelman Theater at 7:30pm and Israeli-born cellist Matt Haimovitz in Innovation Studio at 7:30pm on Saturday, October 17, 2009.
