Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts

Celebrate July 4th at The Kimmel Center, Philadelphia's Newest Landmark!
June 27, 2002

In December, 2001, Philadelphia made history again with the opening of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and like all of the city's historical attractions, The Kimmel Center will be open on the 4th of July. Be sure to stop by and enjoy FREE performances on the Commonwealth Plaza stage throughout the day by The Mixed Pickles Vintage Dance Company presenting an all-American dance sampler. Take a FREE tour of America's newest and most prestigious performing arts center, and enjoy an afternoon snack with food and beverages available on sale throughout the day, with a special menu of American favorites. Be sure to visit the Intermission Gift Shop's music preview stations and browse the wide array of gifts and note cards.

Also, be sure to check out all the exciting events we have planned as part of our 2002 Summer at The Kimmel season, which kicks off on July 5th.
