The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Appoints Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mullany, who will oversee operational and financial aspects of The Kimmel Center and the Academy of Music, brings a wealth of business experience and expertise to The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. A visionary senior executive, Mullany has spent much of his career with Genuardiís Family Markets of Norristown, Pennsylvania, serving in various roles since 1988 including Vice President - Finance, member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and, most recently, President. As President, Mullany led the entire operation of a retail food organization with 7,000 employees and nearly $1 billion in sales.

Prior to his tenure at Genuardiís, Mullany worked at Coopers & Lybrand LLP in Philadelphia and at the Philadelphia Division of Fleming Companies, Inc. of Oklahoma City.
Mullany received his education from Temple University and holds an M.B.A. in finance. He is an alumnus of Harvard Universityís prestigious Executive Development Program. Hank and his wife Jane were recipients of The Childrenís Hospital of Philadelphia Childrenís Seashore House Volunteer of the Year Award. Mullany also volunteers at Woodlynde School in Strafford, Chester County where his two sons, John and Mark, are students.
A life-long fan of the performing arts, Mullany lives with his family in Valley Forge. He begins work at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on February 3.
