Free Kimmel Tours Continue During Quiet August

The Kimmel Center will be open daily during the month of August and will continue to offer free tours of the building every day except Monday. Tours begin at the information desk in Commonwealth Plaza at noon, 1 pm and 2 pm and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For group tour reservations, call 215-790-5830.

Although there are no performances in August, the Kimmel Center and the Kimmel Center box office will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm Intermission, the Kimmel Center gift shop, will be operating under reduced summer hours. The Kimmel Center’s restaurants--Cadence, K. Lounge and PECO Café--will be closed during August and will reopen in September. The Dorrance H. Hamilton Garden will also be closed during August for renovations.

Kimmel Center Presents and Resident Company performances resume in September. Opening night of the Kimmel Center Presents 2003-2004 season will be Friday, September 19, with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
