Kimmel Center, Inc. Announces Four New Board Members

Sen. Connie Williams (D-17th, Delaware and Montgomery)
The new members are:
Lawrence J. Kent of Ardmore is a partner in Kent & Kent, Private Investment Firm. He currently serves on the board of directors of Lights of Liberty, Dickinson College, Chartwell Advisory Group in King of Prussia, General Healthcare Resources in Plymouth Meeting and Kinetikos Medical in San Diego. Kent and his wife, Mary, have four children.
James O’Rourke of Audubon is President and Chief Executive Officer of Verizon Pennsylvania Inc. O’Rourke serves on the board of directors of Verizon Pennsylvania, Inc., Pennsylvania Business Roundtable, TEAM Pennsylvania Foundation and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Sue, have two children.
William A. Slaughter of Philadelphia is a partner in the Litigation Department and Partner-in-charge of the Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Capital Recovery Group at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll. Slaughter serves as a member of the board of trustees of the National Constitution Center, the Academy of Natural Sciences, Chestnut Hill Hospital, the American School of Classical Studies in Athens and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He and his wife, Martha, have three children.
Sen. Connie Williams (D-17th, Delaware and Montgomery) of Haverford has served in the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives since 1997. Her committee assignments in Harrisburg include Democratic Chair of Communications and Technology, Aging and Youth, Education and Finance. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association and the National Museum of American Jewish History. Sen. Williams and her husband, Sankey, have two daughters.

The Kimmel Center, Inc. Board of Directors this year was named by Worth magazine as one of America’s most prestigious nonprofit boards.
Kimmel Center, Inc., a charitable, not-for-profit organization, owns, manages, supports and maintains The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, which includes Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater, Innovation Studio and the Merck Arts Education Center.
