Mark Morris Dance Group Returns to the Kimmel Center January 29-31

Called "the latter-day Balanchine," Mark Morris and his troupe have been performing all over the world for more than two decades. Their return visit to the Kimmel Center will feature 15 dancers and live musicians. The first half of the program will feature All Fours, a new piece that premiered last fall and includes a live performance of Béla Bartók’s String Quartet No. 4.; and Going Away Party, performed to the music of Bob Willis and His Texas Playboys. The second half of the program will include the critically acclaimed Grand Duo featuring the music of Lou Harrison; and Mark Morris’ solo piece Serenade which also features Harrison’s music and is performed as a tribute to the composer.
Tickets for the January 29-31 performances by the Mark Morris Dance Group are $38 & $53 and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at www.kimmelcenter.org or at the Kimmel Center box office, open daily from 10am to 6pm and later on performance evenings. For group sales call 215-790-5883.
A limited number of $10 tickets will be available for every Kimmel Center Presents performance at the Kimmel Center. $10 tickets go on sale the day of the event and can be purchased at the Kimmel Center box office beginning at 5:30pm for evening performances and 11:30am for matinees. Limit one per person.
