The Kimmel Center’s Mellon Jazz Wednesdays series continues when Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette perform on the Verizon Hall stage Wednesday, April 7 at 8pm as part of their 20th Anniversary trio tour.

In 2003, Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette celebrated their 20th anniversary playing together as one of the premier trios in jazz history. To celebrate their two decades together, ECM Records released the trio’s latest CD, Up For It, a live recording capturing the trio’s July 2002 performance at the 42nd Festival de Jazz D’Antibes/Juan-Les-Pins (France).

The men came together as a permanent trio in 1983, when Jarrett invited Peacock and DeJohnette to record in New York, at a session dedicated to playing "standards" —the rich body of American popular songs from the 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s. Twenty years later they are still going strong, recording both freely improvised music in addition to the standards.

Tickets for the April 7 performance are $30, $35, $45, $50, $60, $70 & $78 and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at www.kimmelcenter.org or at the Kimmel Center box office, open daily from 10am to 6pm and later on performance evenings. For group sales call 215-790-5883.

A limited number of $10 tickets will be available for every Kimmel Center Presents performance at the Kimmel Center. $10 tickets go on sale the day of the event and can be purchased at the Kimmel Center box office beginning at 5:30pm for evening performances and 11:30am for matinees. Limit one per person.
