The Ten Tenors
The stage production of Holes, adapted by Louis Sachar from his best-selling novel, will come from the Philadelphia area-based People’s Light & Theatre Company. The popular novel is part of the reading curriculum for many elementary and middle-aged students and is a favorite of all. Sachar also wrote the screenplay for the movie, which premiered in 2003.
Directed by David Bradley, People’s Light opened Holes last year to rave reviews and large crowds at their Malvern theater. The stage production featured a local cast and production team, many of whom will appear again this year on the Academy stage. Ticket prices range from $5 to $32.50.
The Ten Tenors, the exciting new musical force from ‘Down Under,’ will make their Philadelphia debut at the Academy of Music on March 18 and 19. The Australian-based vocal ensemble perform an eclectic brand of music ranging from classical to rock, from opera to ABBA. Their 10-part harmony combined with choreographed movements make these 10 charming Aussies irresistible!
The Tenors new album, Larger Than Life, was just released in September. The group also recorded two songs for the new Disney film, "The Jungle Book 2." Tickets range from $25 to $65.
