Kimmel Center, Inc. announces it’s first venture with Rosenbluth Vacations — a travel experience to Russia and the Baltics. Filled with a rich cultural history, this region was home to composers including Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Musorgsky and Tchaikovsky. The Kimmel Center’s 2004/2005 season highlights the musical glory of Russia, with performances that include two grand Russian orchestras, as well as programs that feature the works of Russian composers noted above.

Janice Price, President and CEO of Kimmel Center Inc., will set sail on Radisson’s Seven Seas Voyager® for a 7 night cruise to Russia and the Baltics that departs July 16, 2005. The cruise includes a private cocktail party and lectures by Price about the arts and culture of the Baltic region, select shore excursion, meals, complimentary fine wines with dinner, and a special $250 donation to the Kimmel Center. Other cruise ports include Copenhagen, Visby, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm.

The Kimmel Center Presents 2004-2005 season celebrates the great history of Russian music. Performances of the Russian celebration include the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, October 24, 2004; Gil Shaham with Orli Shaham, November 4, 2004; Lang Lang, November 23, 2004; New York Philharmonic, January 28, 2005; and the Kirov Orchestra, April 3, 2005.
