Kimmel Center 1pm Daily Tours
August 15, 2005

Led by a team of experienced volunteers with a deep knowledge of the Kimmel Center’s rich performance history and construction, members of the public are invited to join the thousands who have already toured this nationally-renowned sparkling, glass-roofed performing arts complex.
Tours take place daily at 1pm, Tuesdays through Sundays, are free of charge, and depart from the Information Desk, located in Commonwealth Plaza. (Please note tours do not take place on Mondays.)
Tour attendees can expect to hear about the history of the Kimmel Center, as well as architectural and construction highlights. Tours include visits to Commonwealth Plaza, Perelman Theater, Verizon Hall, Merck Arts Education Center and the Dorrance H. Hamilton Garden.*
Walking tours last approximately one hour and include most areas of the multi-level facility, which encompasses an entire city block. Tours are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 20 persons per tour. Visitors may register for tours at the Information Desk, which opens at 10am daily.
Free guided tours for group tours for groups of 12 or more are available by advance reservation. Group tours are offered Tuesday through Friday at 1:15pm.
