Kimmel Center, Inc. Announces New Vice President of Development

Christopher P. Woehrle, Vice President of Development
As Vice President of Development, Mr. Woehrle will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure public and philanthropic support for the Kimmel Center’s artistic, educational and community programs. He will serve as the lead staff member for the Endowment Committee, Development Committee and Government Relations Committee, and also supports the Nominating Committee.
“Chris brings an incredible knowledge and insight of this community to the Kimmel Center,” said Ms. Janice Price, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Kimmel Center. “His initial focus will be on re-launching our endowment campaign and continuing to increase our public, private and corporate annual support as we prepare to celebrate our fifth anniversary.”
“In just under five years, the Kimmel Center has transformed the performing arts landscape in Philadelphia,” said Mr. Woehrle. “I am very pleased to be a part of such a groundbreaking institution which continues to set new standards of artistic excellence for Philadelphia’s audiences.”
Mr. Woehrle graduated from Cornell University in 1979. He received his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation degrees from Villanova Law School in 1982 and 1985.
A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, Mr. Woehrle is an active supporter of Scranton Prep where he and his wife, Lann Salyard Woehrle, MD, created the Dr. Nelson C. and Ruth O’Donnell Woehrle Endowed Scholarship Fund benefiting students with unmet financial need.
