Sister's Christmas Catechism, the latest holiday addition to the popular Late Nite Catechism series created & written by Maripat Donovan, will make its Philadelphia premiere for a four-week engagement November 24 - December 24 at the Kimmel Center’s Innovation Studio.
The hilarious, surprise-filled production, which uses audience members as part of the show, features Sister attempting to discover the whereabouts of the Magi's Gold using investigative techniques from her favorite TV show, Forensic Files. Detective tools in hand, Sister creates a living nativity using audience members dressed as the Holy Family, Magi, shepherds, sheep, cattle….and of course, as ass. She then sets the stage for the crime by directing a local choir in songs of the season that are sure to add even more clues to her investigation.
A must-see for the holiday season, Sister's Christmas Catechism features audience interaction, musical highlights, wacky prizes, non-stop laughs and the irrepressible, irresistible Sister. Funds collected during each performance are donated to a local convent for use by retired nuns in area convents.
