A McGarrigle Christmas Hour Added to Kimmel Center Presents 2006/2007 Season December 3 in Verizon Hall

Kimmel Center today announced the addition of A McGarrigle Christmas Hour to the Kimmel Center Presents 2006/07 season line-up for one performance on December 3 at 7:30pm in Verizon Hall. A McGarrigle Christmas Hour rings in the holiday season with lush harmonies and seasonal classics like “Seven Joys of Mary.” Holiday revelers and fans will hear Rufus’ lively “Spotlight on Christmas” and Martha’s snappy rendition of “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” Putting their own stamp on Christmas, Canadian folk singer/songerwriters Kate and Anna McGarrigle are joined by Kate’s children operatic-pop crooner Rufus Wainwright and alternative folk singer Martha Wainwright for a family gathering that is not to be missed.
Tickets for A McGarrigle Christmas Hour go on sale Wednesday, November 1 at 10a.m., are priced at $57, $47 and $36, and can be purchased by calling 215-893-1999, online at www.kimmelcenter.org, or at the Kimmel Center box office, open daily from 10am to 6pm and later on performance evenings. A limited number of $10 tickets are available for every Kimmel Center Presents performance at the Kimmel Center. Tickets go on sale the day of the event and can be purchased at the Kimmel Center box office beginning 2.5 hours prior to curtain time and 11:30am for matinees. Limit one ticket per person.
