Founded in 1900, The Philadelphia Orchestra has distinguished itself as the finest symphonic ensemble in the world through more than a century of acclaimed performances, historic international tours, best-selling recordings, and its unprecedented record of innovation in recording technologies and outreach.

In the life of a child
Each year the Orchestra’s education programs enrich the lives of over 25,000 students from over 550 schools in the Greater Philadelphia region. Gifts to the Annual Fund help support the Orchestra’s important education programs, which provide enrichment opportunities for children, families, and music students.

In your community
The Orchestra’s community partnerships programs are dedicated to making the Orchestra more accessible to the Greater Philadelphia community. Our free Neighborhood Concerts are often local residents’ first exposure to live classical music.

The Philadelphia Orchestra is the premier cultural ambassador for the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Orchestra promotes understanding and diversity, bringing people together across racial, cultural, and religious divides through the universal language of music.
