"Infectious fun," raved the Philadelphia Inquirer. Daniel Ezralow's Xmas Philes is a tapestry of holiday music, mixing traditional and contemporary versions of holiday classics in a modern dance setting, including "Silent Night" and "Zat You, Santa Claus?" The program will also include Pulse, a company and Philadelphia premiere, also by Ezralow, and La Valse, choreographed to the music of Ravel by Gene Hill Sagan and reconstructed by Kim Bears.
Xmas Philes was commissioned in 2001 by Dance Affiliates and Penn Presents as part of their annual Dance Celebration program at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

"Philadanco's signature is its high powered energy, passionately performed within a repertoire of works that play upon physicality, endurance and strength." (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) This astonishing new program features two world-premieres from choreographers Christopher L. Huggins and Carmen DeLavallade, each with its own exciting style. The Kimmel Center's resident dance company keeps on the cutting edge following their acclaimed 35th anniversary season.
