Greg is the founder and chief executive officer of Versa Capital Management, LLC, a private equity firm with over US $1.4 billion in assets under management and focused on investments in North American distressed buyouts and other special situations. He has overall responsibility for Versa and its investment strategies including leadership and supervision of the investment and portfolio management activities of the firm and its affiliated investment funds. He has led Versa and its predecessors since their founding in 1992.
He has been engaged in executing and investing in business turnarounds, restructurings, reorganizations and other Special Situations across a wide variety of industries and circumstances for more than 25 years, and he is actively involved in overseeing all of Versa's investments.
He is Chairman of the firm's Investment, Portfolio and Management Committees, and is currently a Director of Versa's portfolio companies Allen-Vanguard International, Avenue Stores, Bell + Howell, Black Angus Steakhouses, BridgeStreet Worldwide, Civitas Media, Hatteras/Cabo Yachts, Polartec, Vestis Retail Group, and The Wet Seal, LLC.
Prior to Versa, Greg was a managing director of Sigoloff & Associates, Inc., an international corporate restructuring advisory firm. In addition to being a member of CEO and YPO/WPO, Greg is past president (2003-2009) of the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia.
He is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where he received his M.B.A. He completed the Presidents Seminar at the Harvard Business School and is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University.
Greg and his wife, Rebecca, have six children and reside in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.
