Harold A. Honickman

Harold HonickmanHarold Honickman is Chairman of the Honickman group of soft drink bottling and distribution companies. Mr. Honickman began his career in 1957 with the purchase of a 300,000 case Pepsi plant in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Beginning in 1969, he expanded into Canada Dry bottling operations through the acquisition of Canada Dry Bottling Company of Philadelphia, then Canada Dry operations in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Later acquired Canada Dry New York and Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of New York. In the late 1980’s the Honickman family entered the malt beverage distribution business. Through partnerships in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona and New Hampshire they established relationships with many of the world’s leading brewers. The combined Honickman businesses are today one of the nation’s largest privately owned bottling and distribution organizations.

Mr. Honickman currently is a member of the Library Board at Duke University, the Board of Trustees at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and the Board of Directors of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. He is a member of Philadelphia’s Children First Fund and Project H.O.M.E.’s Investment Committee. Harold and his wife collaborated with Comcast Corporation and Project H.O.M.E. to build a 38,000 square foot learning center in North Central Philadelphia.
