Robert R. CorratoDr. Robert Corrato is currently a Founder & Managing Partner of Devon Hill Capital Partners (DHCP), a diversified healthcare investment firm with a focus on content and technology enabled healthcare service companies. Prior to founding DHCP, Dr. Corrato was the Founder, Chairman and President & CEO of Executive Health Resources (EHR), a national organization that provides technology-enabled, expert Physician Advisor teams concentrating on managing Medicare and Medicaid regulatory compliance, minimizing inappropriate medical necessity denials and achieving appropriate and efficient utilization of services and lengths of stay in acute care hospitals and health systems.

In his roles at EHR, Dr. Corrato was responsible for driving the vision and strategy for corporate growth and core competency expansion to best serve the healthcare marketplace. His leadership was instrumental in positioning EHR at the forefront of the healthcare compliance industry, growing EHR into the leading national provider of medical necessity compliance solutions that served the needs of over 2,000 hospitals in 50 states and Puerto Rico. Dr. Corrato also led the financing of EHR's continued growth and was instrumental in bringing EHR and Optum together to form a premier national healthcare provider accountable care platform. In addition, Dr. Corrato's focus on building a positive employee culture based on teamwork and customer service excellence was instrumental in EHR's recognition as a “Best Place to Work” in the Philadelphia region by EHR's 2,000+ employees over four consecutive years (2008-2011).

Dr. Corrato has amassed extensive knowledge and expertise in all facets of the healthcare service industry. In particular, he has had great success leveraging sophisticated content and enterprise technology to enable healthcare services nationally. In addition, Dr. Corrato has provided his expertise to healthcare providers, payors, healthcare Program Integrity Contractors, including Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), Zone Program Integrity Contractors (ZPICs), and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and Department of Justice (DOJ). His deep knowledge of the industry has made Dr. Corrato a resource for providing valuable testimony in landmark legal cases nationwide.

Prior to founding EHR, Dr. Corrato held the post of deputy director of the Office of Health Policy and Clinical Outcomes at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. An internist with extensive outpatient, inpatient, academic and community- based clinical practice experience, he is one of only six physicians in the U.S. to have completed medical fellowship training in managed care/administrative medicine.

Dr. Corrato has worked closely with thousands of healthcare institutions and organizations such as Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, Optum, Ingenix, Health Partners Inc., Keystone Mercy Health Plan, Oaktree Health Plan, The Institute for Healthcare Quality, VHA, UHC, Wellpoint, McKesson, Merck and Co. and others in the areas of medical necessity compliance, value based purchasing, accountable care development, clinical outcomes research, pharmacoeconomic modeling, quality assurance, utilization management, operational consulting, and physician training and education. He has established training and quality-oversight programs for medical directors and utilization management/quality assurance department programs nationally.

Dr. Corrato is a highly regarded and sought after speaker who's views on healthcare have been presented nationally to groups including the Healthcare Compliance Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Case Management, National Institute for Case Management and the American Hospital Association. His views have also appeared in numerous publications including Modern Healthcare, HealthLeaders, Healthcare Financial Management, Managed Healthcare Executive, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Report on Medicare Compliance, American Medical News, Critical Care Medicine, Compliance Today, Pennsylvania Medicine, the Philadelphia Business Journal, Smart Business, and the American College of Physicians' Observer. Dr. Corrato has sat on the editorial boards of numerous healthcare journals and served as a peer reviewer for many medical journals, including the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Corrato earned his master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania.
