NEW YORK, NY (Thursday, July 28, 2016)– Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with exciting new programming and expanded international destinations, including Russia and Brazil. The 2016 Summer Tour, GENERAT10N, will make a stop at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, August 6 – 14, 2016. In each location, the premier non-profit performing arts training program will present an incredible roster of Broadway directors, performers, and industry insiders who will offer highly personalized musical theatre training and mentoring through unique, week-long performing arts intensive workshops for students of all ages, skill levels, and socio- economic backgrounds.

“This year, as BDF celebrates its 10th year of programming, we will shatter all expectations and make dreams come true in a record number of cities and countries,” said BDF Executive Director Annette Tanner. “Earlier this year we participated in a historic collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, Stage Entertainment and Broadway Moscow to offer a first-of-its-kind Broadway intensive in Moscow. We recently shared our unique brand of programming with 70 aspiring performers in Brazil, and we’re currently in the middle of our eight-city summer tour. In addition, we’re proud to announce that we have now landed roles for over 100 BDF students in Broadway shows or National Tours. If there is anyone who hasn’t heard of BDF yet, I guarantee they will if they are serious about this business.”

“An important part of the Kimmel Center mission is to help cultivate and inspire talented, young arts lovers,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “We are proud to present this summer intensive program in partnership with the Broadway Dreams Foundation to give unparalleled opportunities to a new generation of Philadelphia artists.”

The Broadway Dreams team will carry their cultural innovation and excitement into its Philadelphia Intensive, which they’ll host for the 9th time, this summer. During each BDF Summer Intensive, attendees receive first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal technique before performing alongside their Broadway idols in a dynamic concert directed by one of the industry’s finest directors.

In Philadelphia, performances of GENERAT10N will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts’ Perelman Theater (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia). Tickets are $22 - $125 and are available by calling 215-893-1999, online at kimmelcenter.org, at the Kimmel Center box office, Broad & Spruce Streets (open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., later on performance evenings).
