BASED ON THE AWARD-WINNING PBS SERIES ODD SQUAD: LIVE! TACKLES THE WEIRD AND WACKY IN PHILADELPHIA AT THE MERRIAM THEATER, NOVEMBER 25–26, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, September 21, 2016) –– Winner of four Daytime Emmy® Awards, PBS Kids’ Odd Squad comes out of the screen and onto the stage in a new interactive detective adventure Odd Squad: Live!. All Odd Squad agents should report to the Merriam Theater during any of the three performances, Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26, to unravel clues and solve mysteries with brand-new agents Orion and Oleanna. Odd Squad: Live! is presented in association with Mills Entertainment as part of the Kimmel Center’s Family Discovery Series.

“At a time when the arts and sciences are so critically intertwined in education and entertainment, this show is the perfect illustration of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) concept at work,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “Odd Squad: Live! takes learning even further through this interactive stage show.”

Odd Squad: Live!, geared toward children four to eight years old, uses the fundamentals of the hit series, which incorporates math lessons and problem-solving skills, all paired with music and audience involvement, to help solve a strange case. Odd Squad: Live! is based on PBS Kids show, Odd Squad, about a spy organization run by kids who investigate anything strange, weird and, especially odd. Odd Squad: Live! was created by Tim McKeon, Adam Peltzman, and Mark De Agnelis with original music by Paul Buckley.
