COMEDY STARS NICK OFFERMAN AND MEGAN MULLALLY BRING THEIR SUMMER OF 69 – NO APOSTROPHE TOUR TO THE MERRIAM THEATER, AUGUST 20, 2016
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, June 21, 2016) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in association with Live Nation Entertainment, prepare to take audiences back to the Summer of 69: No Apostrophe with a revealing variety show starring Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, the award-winning comedians and real-life married couple. Summer of 69 – No Apostrophe promises an evening of comedy and music, featuring stories about their relationships, original songs about love, America, and everything in between. The pair bring this tour to the Kimmel Center’s Merriam Theater for one-night-only on Saturday, August 20 at 8:00 p.m.
“We cannot wait for what is sure to be a hilarious and ‘no holds barred’ evening of comedy from this comedic dream team,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “Nick and Megan have the marvelous ability to tell their love story through comedy, song, and dance, all with their trademark raunchy wit.”
In this hilarious show, Nick Offerman – best known for his award-winning portrayal of Ron Swanson in NBC’s Park and Recreation – and Megan Mullally – best known for playing Karen Walker in her award-winning role on NBC’s Will & Grace – are yanking the britches right off of their marriage and exposing every salacious detail of their fiery union for all the world to enjoy. The accomplished entertainers have won multiple awards including a Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Achievement in Comedy, plus two Critics Choice Television Awards for Offerman and two Emmy Awards and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Megan Mullally. Having worked together extensively on stage and screen, the duo may be best known for their portrayal of Ron and “Tammy 2” in Parks and Recreation.
