FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, March 21, 2016) ––The Kimmel Center, in association with AEG Live, presents the first-ever U.S. theatrical tour of Peppa Pig’s Big Splash starring Peppa Pig, star of Nick Jr.’s top-rated TV series. The production features Peppa, George, and all of their friends from the hit show in an all-singing, all-dancing, adventure full of songs, games, and muddy puddles. The tour makes its Philadelphia stop on Friday, April 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Academy of Music.
“Peppa Pig is one of the most adored characters on television today and we cannot wait to welcome Peppa and her friends to the Kimmel Center stage,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “This is yet another fabulous opportunity for families to introduce young children to live theater through a character that is already a household name.”
Peppa Pig’s Big Splash is an action-packed live show based on the widely popular Peppa Pig television series, cleverly crafted to provide preschoolers and young fans an unforgettable live theater experience. This fully immersive musical production features dozens of original songs and an interactive sing-along for the whole family.
Peppa Pighas steadily won over children and families around the globe. The series is the top show on Nick Jr. for kids ages 2-5, reaching 76 million households daily. The Peppa Pig brand continues to become extremely popular since the first episode aired in 2004. Peppa Pig’s popular apps, toys, and strong digital presence on social media have helped make the Peppa Pig property a global powerhouse.
