KIMMEL CENTER ANNOUNCES UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR SETH RUDETSKY’S 

BROADWAY CONCERT SERIES

NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR PERFORMANCES BY MEGAN HILTY AND KELLI O’HARA

 

WHAT: 

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with Mark Cortale, has announced new dates for the remaining Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway Concert Series performances, due to the rehearsal and performance schedule of Seth Rudetksy’s upcoming Broadway show DISASTER. Performances in the series will now take place on Tuesday, May 17 (Megan Hilty), Tuesday, June 14 (Kelli O’Hara) and the previously announced date, Thursday, March 3 (Sutton Foster).  All performances will be held at the Merriam Theater at 8:00 p.m.  O’Hara and Hilty will be accompanied by Rudetsky as pianist and host, engaging in intimate and witty conversations with the Broadway stars, all while presenting an evening of stellar performances of musical theater favorites.  Foster will be accompanied by Emmy Award winning Musical Director and Conductor, Michael Rafter.

Mark Cortale is the Producing Artistic Director at The Art House in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In his inaugural season in 2011, he founded the Broadway @ The Art House series featuring Seth Rudetsky as host and pianist. This summer Mark launched the Broadway @ Town Hall series in Provincetown that includes concerts with Seth starring Rosie O'Donnell, Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka, Matthew Broderick & Sarah Jessica Parker, Audra McDonald & Will Swenson, Jane Krakowski and Vanessa Williams. He also founded Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet and has produced their stage shows, their two CDs and their music videos. He has produced the Broadway @ series hosted by Seth in Australia (with Megan Mullally) and in London’s West End (with Patti LuPone) at the Leicester Square Theatre. The series recently launched in San Francisco @ The Nourse Theatre, in Santa Monica @ The Broad Stage, in Fort Lauderdale @ The Broward's Parker Playhouse and in New Orleans @ NOCCA. Mark also produced the feature film Varla Jean and the Mushroomheads.
