Broadway Philadelphia: We Will Rock You
January 14 -  19 | Academy of Music
Tickets and info.

We can’t WAIT for We Will Rock You. This Philadelphia premier opens tomorrow night at the Academy of Music and features a killer soundtrack of Queen favorites!

Check out what the news is saying:

“This show is all about legend,” according to Elton. “We take the legend of Queen and create our own fantastical story of young kids battling the mighty corporation who wants to suppress their individuality and their love of music. They need a hero who can help them in their struggle, and we have two – the dreamer Galileo, and the sassy rock chick Scaramouche. Guess who ends up winning?” - Delaware County Daily Times

If there was ever a band that lends itself to the spectacle and pageantry of the theater stage, it’s Queen. The legendary rock band, which was fronted by iconic bisexual singer Freddie Mercury up until his untimely death in 1991, continues to be massively popular and influential to this day, as evidenced by the musical production “We Will Rock You.” The show is still on a record-breaking streak in the U.K. and currently generating a buzz with its U.S. production, which pulls into Philadelphia Jan. 14-19 at the Academy of Music. - Philadelphia Gay News including cast feature on Ruby Lewis

The show was created in 2002 by British comedian and writer Ben Elton, who adds the most current pop culture references. It takes place in a future age on a planet once called Earth that is now controlled by a mighty corporation. Individuality is taboo, and rock music is unheard. - Northeast Timesincluding cast feature on Erica Peck
