About the show:

In celebration of her seventh studio album, American Kid, Patty Griffin performs for one night only in Verizon Hall! Griffin’s singing is as extraordinary as her songwriting, with music steeped in Americana, love, sadness, apparitions, and salt-of-the-earth characters. Known for her remarkably powerful, personal, and unpredictable song style, Griffin wrote American Kid in honor of her father. The lyrics thematically trace his life from World War II to raising seven children to the Sgt. Pepper album he gave her for a birthday that would change her life.
