The Business of Making Music

Posted by:  Kimmel Center on October 17, 2013

Last night we kicked off the first of our three-part seminar series, The Business of Making Music with a full house!

Together with our partners at The Recording Academy®, Philadelphia Chapter we hosted a dynamic conversation and students from more than 15 different universities, as well as a selection of high school students, joined Dyana Williams (of Radio One) as well as Carvin Haggins, Michael McArthur, and Ivan Barias to discuss the importance of networking in the industry.

“If you attend all three events, no doubt you will leave here illuminated”
- Dyana Williams

Special thanks to our representatives from J.P. Morgan (who helped to provide funding for this dynamic series) who came out to see their support in action!

Next up -
Tuesday, November 5 | 8pm | Rendell Room
RJD2 and Khari Mateen discuss stepping outside of your creative comfort-zone to create collaborative projects that blur artistic lines.
