Copland Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo
Join the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO) as the orchestra presents its 21st Annual Festival Concert at the Kimmel Center in Perelman Theater. Led by Maestra Rosalind Erwin, PYAO will perform Rossini's Overture to Il barbiere di Siviglia, the prelude to one of the greatest comic operas of all time. The orchestra then performs Hanson's Second Symphony, considered to be the composer's greatest symphonic creation. Incorporating traditional American folk tunes and extracted from the full ballet score, the performance concludes with Copland's "Four Dance Episodes" from Rodeo.
