Mozart: Quartet in D Minor, K. 421 Shostakovich: Quartet No. 1, Op. 49 Intermission Beethoven: Quartet in F Minor, Op. 95, 'Serioso' Possessing all the elegance and transparency of a painting by their Italian namesake, the Modigliani Quartet brings their distinctively French style and astonishing technical finesse back to the Perelman Theater for an evening of string quartet masterpieces. Their 'Gallic cool' (The New York Times), with its undercurrent of passion, crisp articulation, and rich timbres, is the perfect match for a well-crafted program that highlights the quartet's 'awesome individual and communal brilliance' (Strad Magazine). Program length: 1 hour and 45 minutes 6:45-7:30pm: Free Pre-concert Lecture in the Comcast Circle [Tier I]: Bernard Jacobson The PCMS 2015/16 season is currently available by subscription.
