Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale has cultivated a devoted following worldwide for its highly acclaimed concerts. Established in 1968, its achievements include world tours, recordings with internationally renowned orchestras and soloists such as Luciano Pavarotti, national and international television appearances (including Good Morning America and Saturday Night Live), and praise from critics and audiences worldwide.
Under Jeffrey R. Smith, Music Director, PBCC maintains an extensive concert schedule throughout the Mid-Atlantic as well as an international touring program. Recent and upcoming engagements include Carnegie Hall, Notre-Dame in Paris, King's College Chapel in Cambridge, and locally the Kimmel Center, the Mann Center for Performing Arts and the Academy of Music. In the summer of 2016, PBCC will return to Cuba for the fourth time.
The concert at Verizon Hall will preview the repertoire for that trip, including a new arrangement of Gershwin's Cuban Overture. The concert will also feature the world premiere of Genesis by Robert S. Cohen, and some old favorites. More details will be posted at www.phillyboyschoir.org/VerizonHall
