The Chamber Orchestra opens its 2016-2017 season with a concert firmly rooted in the Classical period with a flare of new. Under the masterful guidance of the ensemble’s Music Director, Maestro Dirk Brossé, the evening begins with the famed Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23 and ends with one of Haydn’s most mature works, Symphony 99. This promises to be a powerful performance featuring Pianist Ching-Yun Hu who will present the world premiere of Yiu-kwong Chung's Red Cliff, while guest conductor, Geoffrey McDonald, will be on hand to conduct Arriaga’s Overture to Los esclavos felices.
