Brought to Dilworth Park by internationally renowned French visual artist Olivier Grossetete in partnership with Kimmel Center, on June 3 hundreds of Philadelphians will construct The People's Tower -- a huge edifice without any cement or bricks! Cardboard boxes and masking tape will rise into an 88-foot monumental-community-performance-architectural structure evocative of Independence Hall.
Topple The People's Tower!
Art is fleeting -- come demolish The People's Tower! Normally, audiences are advised not to touch the art, and certainly not to smash it. But for the ceremonial toppling, touching will be necessary and trampling will be encouraged!
This event is free and open to the public.
