LEARN MORE ABOUT THE JAZZ RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Project Concept: A crossover album that blends jazz sensibilities with a modern approach.
Max Swan’s genre-bending work draws inspiration from artists like James Blake, Sampha, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Ocean. Blending saxophone with bass, guitar, drums, and vocals, Swan channels writers of the last half-century, from Jim Croce to Billy Joel to Prince.
The world premiere is a showcase of the artist's completed project.
Artist Bio: A graduate of the University of the Arts, Swan plans to create a crossover album that blends jazz sensibilities with electronic, rock, and pop approaches to music production, featuring saxophone, vocals, and lush arrangements!
