The Astral National Auditions – 2016 Winners Concert

For the first time in its 24-year history, Astral opens The Astral National Auditions to Philadelphia audiences, with the inauguration of its 2016 Winners Concert at the Kimmel Center.
The Astral National Auditions is a nationally renowned classical music competition that takes place in Philadelphia each year. Winners are selected from an initial pool of several hundred applicants from across the United States, who then undergo a competitive audition process adjudicated by classical music’s elite. This year, seven exceptionally gifted rising-star artists have been invited to join Astral’s prestigious roster:
Congcong Chai, piano; Timothy Chooi, violin; Katie Hyun, violin; Natalia Kazaryan, piano; Emily Levin, harp; Zhenni Li, piano; Rolston String Quartet
Top-tier tickets include reserved premium seating at the performance, as well as admission to a post-concert meet and greet with the winners at The Union League of Philadelphia. Attendees will enjoy cocktails and seasonal desserts in the splendid surroundings of Philadelphia’s premier club.
As a fundraiser for Astral, all proceeds will directly benefit Astral’s important artistic and educational programs in Philadelphia.
