Distrito, Jose Garces’ modern Mexican mecca, is a vibrant celebration of the culture and cuisine of Mexico – and everything on the menu is made from scratch. Join Chef de Cuisine, Maria Schmidt, for a lesson in the fun, flair and food that Distrito is known for! Students will learn how to make: Traditional Guacamole with Tortilla Chips; Salsa Roja (Grilled Vegetable Salsa); all of the components of Distrito’s delicious Mahi Mahi Tacos (including butchering the side of the fish); plus handmade corn tortilla making. This class will also offer a selection of Margaritas with options for adding fresh Watermelon, Pineapple and Cucumber.
