Overview

Empanadas are a versatile and crowd-pleasing staple of Latin-American cuisine. Join Washington DC-based Chef Louis Goral of contemporary Argentine steakhouse, Rural Society, for a special class all about the highly popular Latin turnover. Chef Goral will lead students in empanada-making techniques and flavors with a class covering doughs, fillings and more. His class will feature a menu of: Empanada Espinaca (Swiss Chard, Roasted Onions, Argentine Provolone Cheese); Empanada Tucumana (Braised Beef Belly); Empanada Mendocino (Ground Pork, Hard Boiled Egg, Spanish Olive); and Sweet Empanada Pockets (Tannat Grape filling, Sweet glaze). Guests will make, fill, bake and enjoy the various empanadas prepared.
