Barbecue is food that inspires warm gatherings and great times. Join Chef Dave Conn, Chef de Cuisine at Volvér and Corporate Executive Chef for the Garces Group, for a lesson in barbecue basics and beyond. Slather-worthy dry rubs and sauces will all be covered and students will be taught how to use an average home grill to smoke and barbecue effectively. During class, students will snack on Mesquite Smoked Organic Chicken Wings, Berkshire Pork Belly Sliders and Grilled Peaches (all with a Mint Julep in hand). And that’s just the beginning! Chef Conn will lead students in elements of such regional favorites as: Hickory Smoked Pork Butt; Carolina BBQ Hickory Smoked Beef Brisket; Memphis Style Red Sauce Coal Fired Sweet Potatoes; Maple Bourbon Pecans; Corn on the Cob with Old Bay Butter; Dave's Granpappy's Baked Beans; plus Blueberry Cobbler and Amish Milk Ice Cream for dessert.
