This all-Mozart program features works from the span of Mozart’s life, beginning with the choral work Veni Sancte Spiritus, an early composition by an astonishingly young (twelve-year-old!) Mozart, followed by the Piano Concerto No. 21, brilliantly performed by Maestro Radu on the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand Piano, and the noble Jupiter Symphony No. 41, the last and perhaps greatest of his symphonies. Then, from the very end of his life, his majestic and sublime Requiem, his final composition, written on his deathbed and left unfinished at his untimely death, now considered the most profound music he ever conceived, a pinnacle of his emotional genius.
